Since 1995, Gomde Denmark has hosted yearly seminars and group retreats with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, who is the founder and spiritual head of Gomde. In addition, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche, as well as many lamas, monks, and nuns from Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery often visit to offer teachings and meditation guidance. Gomde is also hosting several seminars each year with Erik Pema Kunsang, who is teaching on a variety of topics related to meditation and the spiritual life. Over the years, countless people on personal retreat have also enjoyed the serene and peaceful surroundings to deepen their understanding of the teachings through meditation practice.

Nearby the main temple and retreat facilities lies Gomde’s second property, Strandgaarden (“Beach Farm”); a picturesque seminar and conference center with direct access to the beautiful beach. Strandgaarden offers a variety of seminars related to meditation and spirituality; Buddhist as well as non-Buddhist. During major events at Gomde, Strandgaarden becomes an integral part of the seminar and participants move easily between the two properties, located only 5 minutes’ walk from each other.

In total, Gomde and Strandgaarden currently offer accommodation for a total of 108 people. During the summer months, many participants also choose to stay in tents on Gomde’s campsite under the apple trees in the old orchard.
