The program Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche has so generously compiled for us is breathtaking!

Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche, the second son of Kyabjé Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, was born in eastern Tibet in 1953 and recognized by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa as the fourth reincarnation of Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa (1829-1870). Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa was one of the last of Tibet’s 108 great tertöns or “treasure revealers.” His termas, collected into 40 volumes, are widely practiced by both the Nyingma and Kagyu Schools.

After his enthronement, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche studied at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim. He received the transmission of the entire Nyingma lineage from both H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche. From his father, Kyabjé Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, he received, on more than one occasion, the transmission for the lineage of the ‘Chokling Tersar,’ or New Treasures. The Chokling Tersar is a treasure that was revealed by Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, the first of Rinpoche’s predecessors.

For Chokling Rinpoche’s seminar teachings, it’s best to arrive free from preconceived ideas or expectations. Rinpoche’s style of teaching is renowned for concept-busting surprises. His direct and unconventional teaching approach sweeps away doubt and unravels spiritual knots, while holding nothing back.

Emaho!! From September 23rd to the 27th, Chokling Rinpoche will grant seminar participants both the profound transmission of “tsa lung,” or yogic exercises, as well as definitive instructions based on Kyabjé Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche’s extraordinary ‘Ultimate Guru Yoga Sadhana of Simplicity’.

On September 28th and 29th, Chokling Rinpoche invites us to join with him in the powerful sadhana practice of the Trinley Nyingpo which highlights the twelve manifestations of Guru Rinpoche.

On September 30th, Rinpoche will bestow the authorization to practice the “Sixfold Cycle of Yeshe Tsogyal.”

Last but not least, on October 1st Chokling Rinpoche will grant us his authorization for the practice of Tukdrub Sampa Lhündrub – Spontaneous Fulfiller of All Wishes – so that we can practice at home, and also join Chokling Rinpoche on October 2nd for the great Sampa Lhündrub Puja.

‘The Ultimate Guru Yoga, the Sadhana of Simplicity’

From September 23rd to the 27th, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche will guide seminar participants in ‘The Ultimate Guru Yoga Sadhana of Simplicity,’ a poetic and powerful Dzogchen text written by Kyabjé Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche specifically for Westerners. This sadhana’s clarity is unsurpassable. Both the text and Chokling Rinpoche’s style of teaching allow listeners a direct insight into ultimate simplicity, the nature of mind.

Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche received transmission for this text directly from his father, Kyabjé Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. The line of transmission is, therefore, particularly fresh and strong. To be able to receive such poetic and profound teachings as these directly from the lips of a master like Chokling Rinpoche, who has such a direct and potent connection with the text, is extraordinary. This exceedingly rare and special opportunity fills our hearts with joy at our surprising good fortune!

In addition, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche will instruct us in ‘tsa lung’ to help us prepare for these extraordinary teachings. ‘Tsa lung’ is comprised of a series of special Tibetan yogic exercises that, when done correctly, manipulate the subtle energies of the body to remove blockages and support and strengthen the clarity of our practice.

Two Day Trinley Nyingpo Practice.

During this, the Year of the Monkey, we have the excellent fortune to practice the precious Trinley Nyingpo terma text almost side-by-side with the 4th incarnation of Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa – Chokling Rinpoche, himself.

The Trinley Nyingpo practice pertains to one of the main cycles of teachings in the Chokling Tersar known as Lamey Tukdrub Barchey Kunsel (the Guru’s Heart Practice, Dispeller of All Obstacles). In other words, by achieving the wisdom mind of the Guru all obstacles are dissolved.

The Trinley Nyingpo is the condensed sadhana from this cycle. The chief figure in the practice is Guru Rinpoche surrounded by his twelve emanations, along with the sambhogakaya Avalokiteshvara and the dharmakaya Amitabha.

The Trinley Nyingpo is one of the most popular and widely practiced sadhanas in the Chokling Tersar and is a practice that many people around the world seem to have a strong connection with.

Together with Chokling Rinpoche, we will practice this precious and immaculate sadhana on September 28th and 29th. Since this is the Year of the Monkey, which is specifically related to this practice, we have the amazing opportunity to be led through this sadhana by a realized master. Blessed by the presence of such a master at this auspicious time, during two full days of puja, our accumulation of merit will intensify and the depth of our understanding and experience will increase in a way never before possible.

The Empowerment of Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal
From the ‘Sixfold Heart Practice Cycle of the Princess of Zur’.

This Yeshe Tsogyal empowerment, that Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche will so affectionately bestow upon us, is drawn from an extremely blessed and precious cycle of dakini practices taught directly by Guru Rinpoche. Revealed as a terma text by the great treasure-revealer Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa, the practice belongs to the ‘Sixfold Heart Practice Cycle of the Princess of Zur.’

This is what Guru Rinpoche, himself, had to say about this practice:

I, Padmasambhava,
Know infinite dakini tantras.
The most sublime of them all,
Vajravarahi bestowed upon me.
The heart essence of this
I have taught for the benefit of future generations.

Outwardly, the dakini is wrathfully-frowning Tara;
Inwardly, she is Lady Vajravarahi;
Secretly, she is Sangwa Yeshe;
And innermost secretly, she is the consort of I, the Lotus-born One,
Mandarava and Lady Tsogyal.

This sadhana for accomplishing these dakinis
Is extremely secret, an extraordinary wonder.
It is the ultimate pith instruction.

Tukdrub Sampa Lhündrub – The Spontaneous Fulfiller of All Wishes

As a celebration, we will receive the empowerment and engage in the great puja connected to this extraordinary Guru Rinpoche practice.

Tukdrub Sampa Lhündrub (The Spontaneous Fulfiller of All Wishes) is a blessed teaching bestowed by Guru Rinpoche, and later on revealed by the great treasure-revealer Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa. This unique practice of Guru Rinpoche and his 12 emanations is said to be extremely effective in helping oneself and others achieve good fortune and protection from all types of calamities, temporary and ultimate, such as conflict, disease, poverty, obstacle-makers, vicious animals, disturbances of the four natural elements, robbers, sudden death, the intermediate state, clinging to reality, and the sufferings of the six classes of beings.

If we sincerely and wholeheartedly practice the Sampa Lhündrub, whether the entire sadhana or simply its short prayer or feast-offering, just like a wish-fulfilling jewel, all our temporary and ultimate fears will be dispelled and all our aims and wishes will be spontaneously and effortlessly fulfilled.

Moreover, the mass of natural catastrophes, mental suffering, and obstacles facing us in our present Age make this blessed practice especially timely and imperative.
Therefore, on October 1st Chokling Rinpoche will bestow upon us his authorization to undertake this practice, and on October 2nd, we will gather together with Rinpoche to engage in the resplendent Sampa Lhündrub puja.

Translations of the prayers and sadhanas, in both German and English, will be available, for loan or purchase, in Gomde’s Ratna Shop.
