Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Germany – Austria lies located in the heart of Europe, situated in a picturesque UNESCO world heritage site: the Salzkammergut of upper Austria. Surrounded by mountains, lakes and untouched nature, but still easily accessible, close to cities like Vienna, Salzburg and Munich, our center is the perfect place for anyone interested in studying, practicing and applying the authentic Dharma.

Following Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche´s precious teachings and advise, under the guidance of our resident lama, Lama Tenzin Sangpo, as well as other Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling lamas, khenpos, monks and nuns, we offer weekend seminars, short and longer retreats, as well as summer and winter seminars with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Chokling Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche. Gomde aims to be a place for everyone; those seeking peace and quietness, as well as those looking for activity.

In Gomde we integrate the precious Dharma teachings into our daily life. By constructing, gardening and other activities we remain grounded, while upholding the authentic Dharma with regular formal practice. During regular days we practice the concise daily practice (of Guru Rinpoche) with smoke offering and meditation in the morning and a protectors practice with meditation in the evenings. On weekends we usually have seminars on certain philosophical topics or practices. Once a year we are closed for intensive retreats. Additionally you can always do your individual retreat in Gomde.

Since 2004 we are constantly renovating and revitalizing our center, a four-sided farmer house, to be able to offer enough space for hosting local and international guests for seminars and retreats. We host people from all over the world, in single rooms and dormitories, and hold pujas and practice in 2 meditation halls. We also take care of the surroundings by landscaping the gardens and woods.
We are working volunteer and donation based, giving everyone an opportunity to participate and contribute according to their talents and possibilities.

In Gomde we aim to give you a space to be yourself, connect with others and joyfully engage. It is an extraordinary place to study, contemplate and practice the authentic Dharma: a place to discover and groom your innermost nature.
