Ka-Nying Ling Kuala Lumpur

An oasis of peace and blessing for city dwellers

History

Better known as the “Ka-Nying Centre”, the Centre was declared open by the blessings of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche on June 18th 1989. It was officially registered in 1990 as Persatuan Dharma Ka-Nying Ling with the intention to preserving and propagating the distinct and glorious Dharma lineage of Chokling Tersar of Nyingmapa.

The Centre operates as a self-funding charitable society, managed by a team of members who despite their demanding full-time job, commit to support our Rinpoches’ enlightened activities and the Centre’s dharma projects for the benefits of all sentient beings. From its humble beginning at a rented premises, now it has expanded to own two bungalows at approximately 12,000 square feet.

Our activities

In the early years, we were incredibly blessed to have Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche bestowed many empowerments and pointing-out instruction. With immense gratitude to Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche and Chokling Rinpoche, we are extremely fortunate to receive precious Dzogchen teachings at our annual retreats. We are very grateful to have Phakchok Rinpoche visits us annually too. These Rinpoches’ unshakeable care and love to our Centre are precious gifts beyond measure. Through their genuine and complete compassion and wisdom, they have changed many of our lives in all ways. Without them, we will be totally lost in this wild and unruly world.

It is important in the Buddhism tradition to personally gain experience and understanding through meditation and reflection of the teachings. By the kind advice and support of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, every year, the Centre holds a few retreats, Dharma teachings and beneficial prayers presided by Tulku Pasang Tshering and Tulku Jampa Dorje together with the Khenpos and monks from our Nepal monastery.

In the past few years, the Centre is grateful to have been graced with many great masters, like, Tenga Rinpoche, HH Gyalwang Drugpa Rinpoche, Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche and so forth. Their gracious presence has always been inspiring and their blessings remain in our hearts forever.

Without the precious Sangha, the Buddha Dharma, the great source of peace happiness and love in this world, cannot survive. Hence, to fortify the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma, we have been strongly supporting and providing financial aids in all ways to our Nepal monasteries and the ordained monks and nuns.
